When I arrived at Kindred Spirits over 10 years ago, I was a beginner rider. Bo, my 8 year old Arabian, was a horse with very little training. I had no idea what to do with him, but thanks to Cindy that problem was quickly solved. We arranged for others at the barn to ride him including Jessica, who rode and competed him. I was so proud and excited to see him show. I couldn't believe he was the same little horse. The team spirit and support at the barn is great and many lasting friendships have resulted. And Bo? He's no longer able to compete, but he's become the type of horse people love to be around, and the current kids at the barn still ride him. With that "team spirit" at the barn, I was able to ride a more appropriate horse for my abilities, provided by a dear friend that had bred her. We are constantly fitting people to horses and sharing resources that we have. It's truly an "extended family" feel at the barn.

Cindy - As we head into the new year and eventing season, I'd like to thank you. You believed in me and challenged me to move outside my comfort zone and I never thought I could be a "real eventer" - advancing beyond the baby novice division. Cindy - Thank you for a very exciting and gratifying weekend. I really do feel I broke through a personal barrier about trusting my horse.I'm pretty sure I got more intense pleasure out of my lessons than the more established and experienced riders. The flow through the curved line at the end actually made me euphoric! It just felt so good and right. Your riders were so supportive and fun to be with. Tracy's help in "looking up" was a wonderful gesture of support and camaraderie and Ruth is always very supportive and encouraging. So for now, all my best to you and all the marvelous young and not so young women around you. My thanks to all and I wait with baited breath for the next time. Cheers.

Cindy, you hold an undying commitment to all of us out here at KSS and our animals. Without you many of our dreams and adventures could not flourish and develop. For that, no thank you will suffice. It has been my pleasure to be part of the eventing scene at KSS. Watching my older mare show three young ladies the preliminary and intermediate ropes was something I had not expected of her. Finding the right students who are ready for the move up is part of the KSS success story. I look forward to my younger mare’s development as she moves up the levels knowing that it will be done by a group of students who want do the work that is needed.
